Unveiling the Cosmic Symphony: Mystik’s Journey into “Starlight”

Starlight by Alien Science Games

Hey friends, Mystik here, bringing you some exciting news straight from the heart of the music-making universe, my studio! 🚀

So, guess what? I’m teaming up once again with the legendary Greg over at Alien Science Games to whip up some sonic magic for his latest gaming masterpiece, Starlight! 🌟 Yep, you heard it right – we’re diving headfirst into more cosmic realms of game audio development, and I couldn’t be more stoked about it.

Just recently, I caught up with Greg at the Game Developer’s Conference (GDC) right here in my hometown of San Francisco. We got to chatting about his game projects, and let me tell you, the future looks bright. Starlight – the next evolution of the studio’s pioneering space exploration game Exo – is shaping up to be an absolute game-changer, with a single-level demo that’s bound to blow minds and rack up those wishlists.

Now, let’s talk creative process. I’ve been cooking up some seriously mind-bending concepts, diving deep into an emotion matrix (yeah, you heard me) and dissecting gameplay demos like a mad scientist. Stay tuned as I hash out these ideas with Greg – there’s some serious magic brewing in the studio.

Speaking of the studio, I’ve been knee-deep in Ableton and Logic, whipping up soundcapes that’ll transport you to another dimension. Picture this: soul-stirring piano themes, cinematic vibes, and a healthy dose of electronic wizardry. And let’s not forget about Elevate – one of my previous tracks that Greg couldn’t get enough of. I’ve woven its essence into several of my new creations, blending old-school inspiration with futuristic flair.

But it doesn’t stop there. Oh no. My trusty Synthstrom Deluge has been working overtime, churning out beats and melodies that’ll make your speakers sing. We’ve even spawned a whole new electronic adventure along the way – because why settle for one masterpiece when you can have two? Or three?

So, what’s next? Well, I’ve got three killer concepts lined up for Greg’s approval. Will it be a symphony of celestial sounds or an electrifying journey through the digital cosmos? Only time will tell, my friends. Stay tuned, buckle up, and get ready to ride the sonic wave of Starlight. Mystik out. ✌️
