Mystik is a DJ and live performer, making customized mixes for each event and arranging original music in the moment

Mystik has been DJing and rocking dance floors since late 1998. Starting out in New York City, he dug for vinyl at the likes of Sonic Grooves and Satellite, finding his sound and early influences that would be come staples in his crates for years later.

Inspired by Chicago house, Detroit techno, New York club and progressive house and trance, driven by the psychedelic sounds first heard via the Midwest’s own DanFX but then further initiated by Infected Mushroom, Tip Records and the rest, as they say, is history.

He started making progressive and psychedelic mixtapes, lots of tracks by Platipus and Fragrant recordings. Burning Man was a major influence. Once there, it was hard to turn off the visions of psychedelic frolicking and nighttime explorations.

After moving to San Francisco in 2000, Peter continued DJing at various locations around the city, including 111 Minna Gallery, Public Works, Temple, Monkey Club/Asiento and more.

Having had residencies at a few locations including the Spacelab (RadioExplore) and Showdown he has also performed with a number of crews and parties including 3°, Keyframe, RadioExplore, Phoenix Family and RumorSF.
